Education is at the forefront of our lifelong journey with Jes-M. To increase environmental awareness, 20% of our net proceeds from Jes-M sales goes towards the development and implementation of an environmentally based curriculum called Project Seed. This after-school program is structured to create opportunities for children to learn about their environment through a variety of activities, based on our 5 core values:

Community = Solutions
Through working in collaborations there are multiple ways to approach a problem and to find a solution.

Sustainability = Exercise & Health
Learning about the importance on healthy foods and routine exercise we hope to create positive healthy habits.

Knowledge = Smarts
The main reason for this program is to educate children on how to be more conscious about their surroundings.

Innovation = Art

Giving children the opportunity to create art not only increases self-confidence, sense of achievement and success, it raises their academic success.

Earth = Environment
By focusing on nature and our own external environment, we are able to see beyond consumerism and tangible needs.

Implementation
Individual curriculum activities will be based on the 5 core values and will have multiple topics. This could include: Trees, Food, Consumerism and Neighborhoods for the 2009/10 program, which are based on current events.
